The mission of RETURN TO SENDER is to support businesses in the poorest regions of the world through fair and sustainable trade. So far, more than 7,000 jobs have been created worldwide and more than 2 million products have been sold. Together with a Dutch organization, a part of the sales is also used for the professional training of young women in developing countries.
Dutchwoman Katja Schuurman founded the Return to Sender brand in 2006. During her many travels, she noticed that many very poor people are full of entrepreneurial ideas and they have great talents, but simply no opportunities to use them. So it was during a trip to India that she came up with the basic idea for Return to Sender: fair trade as the driving force behind sustainable development.
