PALA EYEWEAR make ethically crafted sunglasses from eco-friendly materials.
The brand was founded on the principle of keeping their impact on the planet low, and their impact on people high. Pala delivers lasting change and opportunity by funding eye-care projects across Africa.
For every pair of sunglasses sold, Pala donates to eye-care programmes by providing grants to vision centres, dispensaries and screening programmes. They also work with a Ghanaian NGO to support weaving communities to make the protective sunglasses cases, which are woven using traditional methods utilising waste plastic.
The factory that produces the brand’s sunglasses undergoes a regular third-party ethical trade audit covering health and safety, environment and business ethics.
From 2020 onwards, all new styles added to the collection will be made exclusively of Italian bio-acetate. Bio-acetate is 100% plant based, vegan and cruelty-free.
