Dutchwoman Suzanne Mertens is the founder of VAN VERRE. She built the label with her partner Gerald de Rooij. They combine a love of travel, other cultures and their different craft techniques with fair and social standards and the production of beautiful interior items.
Long-standing friendly relationships with their producers and a close eye on a direct short value chain are writ large at Van Verre. Their production has been awarded the World Fair Trade Organization seal (WFTO). The products embody unique stories from afar and are made with sustainable materials and modern design by artisans.
