TOBIAS WISTISEN moved to Paris in 1999 to study fashion design. After graduating, he worked with several top brands in the fashion industry before starting his own jewellery brand in 2007.
With a love for everything hand made, Tobias explores his passion for jewellery as a space where design and craftsmanship can be perfectly combined.
Significant sources of inspiration to the design are architecture and nature – and the way they interact with each other. The aging and decaying of materials are also integrated parts of the design.
Mixing textures and materials for a delicate balance of roughness and elegance has always been important.
The contrast between linear and organic shapes is one of the core elements in the characteristic, expressive style of Tobias Wistisen’s jewellery.
