At its beginning, TISS’AME come about through a friendship between two passionate Parisian women: Alice, stylist and textile designer, and Antonia, marketing and communication professional.
Inspired by the mix of cultures and crafts, their creations blend urbanity and tradition. They wish to create a bridge between West Africa and the West.
Beyond the clichés and the craze for wax prints, TISS’AME reinvents a way of using noble fabrics and hand woven by artisans from Senegal and Togo, according to an ancestral knowledge.
To discover the brand’s universe, all you have to do is accompany them to discover the little secrets of Dakar and Paris; wander through the many markets, hunt, Wakhaler (haggle, in Frenchized Wolof) and weave bonds; hang out in the interloped places and meet the diversity downstairs.
In 2016, Tiss’ame continues…without Antonya, who prefers to refocus on his other activities and sail towards his destiny…
