Originally a sports sandal, TEVA, was born out of necessity to prevent sandals from floating downstream. In 1984, a resourceful river guide strapped two Velcro watch bands to a pair of old flip-flops, and just like that, the first Teva sandal was created. The timeless sandals are known for their signature straps which are continuously being re-imagined with new patterns and as of 2020 are now made from 100% recycled plastic using REPREVE® yarn.
