While she has been designing shoes for 15 years for major French shoe manufacturers, STOULS founder Aurelia chose to divert the use of leather and to think of an “all-leather” wardrobe in a different way, starting with a T-shirt. By working on her collections in a single material and by using all the pieces in a wardrobe, the language of colour has become obvious and subtle.
In 2017, she created a line of shoes made from the same leather and, in the same spirit, a line of bags and small leather goods “Upstoulsées”, i.e. made from the colour archives and scraps of her wonderful leathers.
Supple, stretch and superfine, our leather is recognized for its exceptional quality. Produced and tanned in France, then tailored in an atelier in Portugal by artisans trained to the exacting standards of top luxury fashion brands.
An infinity of bold nuances – the foundation for the brand’s acclaim – STOULS colors are renewed each season to highlight the sleek lines of the designs.
Aurélia Stouls reinvented how leather is worn by developing a simple maintenance process: just like a pair of jeans or a cotton t-shirt, all STOULS garments can be washed in the machine. Leather that is easy to live with.
