It was at the request of her dancer son that Rose REPETTO created her first ballet shoes in 1947, in a workshop near the Paris Opera House. Her revolutionary pointe shoes and delicate ballerinas were a quick success, portrayed on screen by Brigitte Bardot in the cult film Et Dieu… créa la femme. A mythical House was born, whose timeless pieces celebrate feminine allure, grace and lightness.
Since 1967, the pointe shoes and ballerinas have been made in Saint-Médard d’Excideuil in the Dordogne region of France, using the emblematic method of “cousu-retourné”. With its inimitable know-how, Repetto was inspired by the dancer’s wardrobe to launch its first ready-to-wear collection in 2012.
