RELEAF

Plant forest instead of replanting! RELEAF plants a tree for every single condom purchased. To do this, they cooperate with the NGO Eden Reforestation Projects. Releaf sources their latex from a smallholder cooperative in Thailand and works with a handpicked condom producer. This allows them to ensure that everyone involved in production is paid fairly and can work under decent conditions. Releaf’s goal is to plant 50 million trees by 2025, together with their customers and partner NGO Eden Reforestation Projects.

Releaf was founded in 2019 by Bennet Müllem. After several years in IT consulting, he asked himself the question of purpose: “Am I doing what’s important to me, or am I just working for the money?” Being very interested in climate protection, Bennet knew that trees are still one of the most efficient tools in the fight against climate change. So the goal was already set: to plant as many trees as possible. The idea for Releaf came during their honeymoon: Condoms that plant trees!
