MARIN ET MARINE

An old duffel bag of their grandfather, which accompanied him during his countless voyages as a captain, unexpectedly laid the foundation for the label MARIN ET MARINE.

After studying design, the sisters developed modern reinterpretations from the duffel bag: practical, functional and durable, plus simple and timelessly beautiful with a maritime flair. In addition to many other bags and accessories, the “Sac Marin” in various colors, materials and special editions has been delighting Marin et Marine customers since 2013, carrying the upbeat vacation feeling and maritime flair out into the world.

As illustrator and product designer, Caroline and Valérie’s work reflects the values of original craftsmanship, such as careful finishing and durable materials. Each in-house product is made locally and fairly in traditional German manufactories – using either specially dyed organic cotton or vegetable-tanned leather. For curated products, they also pay attention to ethical principles and sustainable manufacturing.
