LA RÉUNION Studio is the creation of Nigerian-American Sarah Nsikak. In response to the exorbitant amount of waste generated in the fashion industry, Sarah creates hand-quilted pieces made exclusively using recycled material sourced from fashion designers locally based in New York. The many influences for this La Réunion include the vibrant stories of African culture, post-colonial African countries, ideas surrounding reclaimed beauty, togetherness, color, and joy.
