Los Angeles-born, but Milan-based journalist J.J. Martin started La DoubleJ as a shoppable online magazine, where fashion lovers could discover the finest vintage pieces. When she decided to use different vintage patterned fabrics to design one dress, she made the first step of turning her brand into a fashion and lifestyle label. Nowadays La DoubleJ offers printed womenswear collections as well as a homeware line with items such as ceramics, linens and glassware. The collections of La DoubleJ are crafted in the finest materials, all made in Italy with the use of local, historic manufacturers. Martin’s 17 years of experience as an editor at different international fashion and interior magazines has resulted in her ability to discover hidden archives of vintage patterns at the Lake Como in Italy and turning these prints into a complete collection.
