The label JAPAN BLUE was founded in 2010, when designer Hiroki Kishimoto decided to adapt the centuries-old tradition of denim production to the needs of the modern man. Modern, slimmer cuts, but made of fabrics, where still – typically japanese – meticulous attention is paid to quality, used cotton, weave, dyeing and much more.
What has remained is JAPAN BLUE’s love of fading, the denim-specific aging process that makes every pair of jeans a beautiful unicum. That’s why the label only uses the fine denim fabrics of the renowned collect mill of Kojima, Okayama.
