HALO is an upscale boutique offering beautiful, unique and hard to find shoes and clothing for men and women.

Halo Shoes offers luxury products from small companies and designers with limited distribution. Many of the brands have a multi-generational tradition of making beautiful shoes and clothing with a high level of “hand”. Stylistically, our brands range from classic to unconventional, edgy to demur.

Established in 1999 and the recipient of multiple awards, Halo is located in the historic Otis Elevator building in the heart of the Pearl District, one of Portland’s best and most diverse shopping, dining and residential neighborhoods. The area, once filled with railroad yards and turn of the century warehouses, is now an exciting mix of old and contemporary.

The Otis Elevator Building is on the National Historic and Oregon Historical registries. Many of Portland’s landmark buildings had elevators built where Halo is and the building’s architectural details are in the Italian Renaissance style. The beautiful interior, nearly 3,000 sf, is open with 20 foot tall ceiling, large exposed old growth beams and brick walls. The building is profiled on various architecture tours. Our favorite detail is the very tall front door.
