A while ago, founder Koen Middeldorp travelled for several months through China, the country that fascinated him since he was young. On his way back to the Netherlands, he decided to cross the Gobi, the largest dessert of Asia.There is something about the desert which goes beyond our understanding. Something that only can be reflected by its endless repetitive forms, the infinity of the sand, and the vivid colours.
It is exactly this mystery that intrigues us. GOBI AMSTERDAM is more curious for things that lie in the shadow than things brought into light.
