Products & Style

fremdformat offers the classic range of jewelry from necklaces to bangles to ear studs. Sometimes it is filigree and discreet, sometimes it is big and eye-catching. Julia and Steffi work mainly with brass, copper and silver and always give their pieces a clearly recognizable industrial touch. At the same time they understand their collections as unisex and size inclusive.

Manufacturing, transparency & sustainability

All jewelry is designed in Heidelberg and manufactured directly in the studio on site. This saves on transportation distances that would occur if the production was done abroad. It also allows for greater flexibility, which means that capacities can be adapted directly to demand.

When purchasing materials, the two also pay close attention to their origin and the associated compliance with labor standards. Suppliers are carefully selected, and even non-precious metals are sourced exclusively from German specialist companies. The primary goal is to conserve resources and use materials in an environmentally conscious manner.
