Canadian designer ARIELLE DE PINTO’s first jewelry creations were crocheted works of art made of metal. The pieces sold out within days in her adopted home of New York City. Since these early days, de Pinto has earned a degree in visual arts and launched many more successful collections. Her passion for knotted steel and silver remains; her pieces continue to exude both charm and carefreeness. “I would wear a piece [of my jewelry]. It’s kind of like, the second people touch it they must have it. Because I’m working with it all the time, I’m sick to death of it but if I take a break for a while and don’t touch it, when I do again it’s a really beautiful feeling.”
