STEPHANIE SCHNEIDER grew up in the German Alps, studied fashion and textile design, and assisted Hussein Chalayan in London before arriving in Berlin in 2004 to joined the team at KOSTAS MURKUDIS. Stephanie launched her jewellery label, 17, in 2006. Her textile background is apparent in every piece. The combinations of silk, mohair, silver, gold and diamonds result in unique pieces of jewelry, molded through an enormous amount of patience and passion. All pieces are hand woven in her Berlin studio. The weaving process of the rings, bracelets and necklaces is a highly contemplative process, requiring hours, days and weeks of work.
