Yuki Matsuda is known for implementing Japanese precision to western design. He is the head of Meg Company, and with a number of brands under its umbrella the primary footwear outlets are Yuketen and CHAMULA.
Chamula is inspired by Matsuda’s travels through rural Mexico during the 1990’s. Their products preserve culture and tradition and are the result of careful handiwork of master craftsmen and women. Chamula uses supple and breathable leathers that have a beautiful patina. The materials are perfectly adapted for light footwear and each piece is unique and has rich character.
