Translating from Italian as ‘crazy nose’, NASOMATTO is Alessandro Gualtieri’s highly artistic and personal olfactory project. During his time as a perfumer for many multinational companies, Gualtieri earned the name “Crazy Nose” due to his daring scents and unconventional approach to creating them. His desire for creative freedom and unwillingness to be confined by the specific instructions and trend forecasts he had to follow when creating scents for these brands led him to establish his own line in 2007. Gualtieri’s fragrances are left open for the smeller’s interpretation as he refuses to disclose ingredient lists. Instead, he describes each fragrance by their inspiration and uses the exteriors to hint at the scent contained within.
