NPS Shoes Ltd (Northampton Productive Society) was founded in 1881 and produces the brand SOLOVAIR. It’s a family owned company located in the small village of Wollaston in Northamptonshire. All their boots and shoes are made in the UK from start to finish using the Goodyear Welted construction method. In 1959 the NPS factory produced the very first pair of Dr. Martens and for more than 35 years they produced Dr. Martens under licence all labeled with ”Dr. Martens by Solovair”. By combining over 130 years of traditional craftsmanship and tooling with the latest technology and materials, NPS will continue to produce the finest quality footwear.
