Founded in 1935, the company manufactured traditional workwear, such as overalls and aprons, from its small workshop in central France. For decades, Danton was a supplier to various public companies such as the Paris Metro or the French railways, to which they supplied their durable garments. Purchased by a romantic Japanese businessman in the 2000s, the brand was saved from closing, retaining the workshop in France and expanding the clothing line with a production made in Japan.
