BIJOU ON THE PARK

I was born in Sweden, raised both there and South Africa, and educated in England. From cross-country skiing to school, to sailing from country to country, to moving to America at 18, I’ve been fortunate to have many unique and crazy experiences that have shaped who I am today. Having travelled many countries and lived in different cultures, I am hugely drawn to brands that come directly from villages or designers’ countries; from the Congo, Italy, Sweden, England and Australia. There is a different approach to design and it’s hard to pin point what that is but for some reason, I pick up on that. I’m attracted to items with lots of texture, colors and patterns, but the Swede in me also considers solid colors as a staple for any outfit be it casual clothing or evening wear.

Our clothing for women of all ages represents an eclectic mix of “on trend” items to classic styles that are effortless and timeless.  I seek out exceptionally beautiful, unusual and conversation worthy pieces. I buy according to our seasons, casual lifestyle and festivities. It’s my goal to offer clothes in a variety of price ranges that regardless of cost, will still provide excellent value.

Jewelry

We offer a beautiful variety of unique jewelry that consists of local and international artists. All pieces are handcrafted by the artisans and come guaranteed. Each piece is individual so no two are alike. Our current linnes include Waxing Poetic, Isabel Iny, Old Soul Jewelry, Lena Bernard

Baby and Children’s Clothes and Toys

We carry beautiful baby and children’s clothing that make wonderful gifts. I try to source high-quality items that are made of special fabrics like bamboo and organic cotton. Eye catching packaging is a “must” on my list of requirements so many of our items have a huge “wow” factor when gifted. Additionally, I am also drawn to traditional, hand crafted toys, adorable and fun clothing – anything that might look like Grandma or Grandpa might have created! We carry clothing brands such as Milk Barn, Olen Organics, Hazel Village, Beecoolest, and Freshly Picked. For kid’s toys we have Blaba, Moulin Roty, Sass & Belle and Olli Ella.

Gifts, Home Decor & Books

I love books, and the more the better. Whether they’re lifestyle, inspirational or coffee table books, I love to curate an interesting collection for customers to browse through. I love to watch people’s reactions and how they take the time to peruse the different and fun books we carry.

We also have a lovely collection of lotions, bath products, candles and small giftable objects – again, all with fabulous packaging. Depending on the season, we have wonderful items for the home, embellished pillows, unique throws, small area rugs, picture frames, mugs, dishes and some…
